Safety & Compliance

Always confirm requirements with your local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), such as the Fire Marshal or building/boiler department.

Key codes & standards (overview):

  • ASME PVHO-1: Fabrication standard for Pressure Vessels for Human Occupancy.

  • NFPA 99: Health Care Facilities Code (includes hyperbaric safety provisions).

  • Local building, electrical, mechanical, and fire codes may also apply.

Before you install:

  1. AHJ Check: Ask your Fire Marshal/building department what they require for your occupancy type (clinic, spa, private).

  2. Site Readiness: Doorway/pathway clearance, floor space, ventilation, and dedicated power to spec.

  3. Operator Training: Only trained personnel should run sessions; follow manuals and posted procedures.

  4. No medical claims: Until FDA clearance, do not market for diagnosis, treatment, cure, or prevention of disease.

How Nova is built:

  • Hard-side construction, manufactured in the USA in an ASME-certified welding shop.

  • Redundant safety: multiple over-pressure relief valves (OPVs) and active monitoring.

  • Access options: 30″ door (Nova) or 72″ × 22″ gurney-ready door (Nova Elite).
